Parents’ Association

The American Institute prides itself with the quality of parents that form its community.

The Parents’ Association is very active in school life, supporting educational efforts for our students, as well as organizing activities that promote unity among the AIM community.

The Parents Association involves all parents, and is organized into different committees, formed by parent volunteers.

Executive Board: Formed by President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer, its aim is to serve as a link between AIM families and the school and promote participation in the school community.  It organizes events, and selects and coordinates the different committees in charge of organizing and informing on the different activities planned during the year. It supports AIM families as needed, channeling their doubts to the corresponding departments within the school.

 Coordinator Committee: In charge of the supporting classroom and generation coordinators of the different generations, who are in charge of informing parents and supporting families. In this manner, they serve as a communication channel where information flows in both directions.

 Values Committee: Mom volunteers who, together with the school, coordinate the values program and the activities derived therein.

 Events Committee: Plans, organizes and undertakes all events held during the school year.

 Sports Committee: Supports coaches by facilitating communication between team coaches and parents.

 Fine Arts Committee: Supports Fine Arts teachers in the different activities planned by the department.

International Families

The international families at AIM add a very important multicultural component to school life for our students, our teachers and our community. Their AIM is to support our school in developing awareness, understanding and respect for other cultures as well as to foster lasting relationships among their children and Mexican students who attend our school. 

In addition, they provide support for new families arriving into the AIM and participate enthusiastically in International Week and other activities.

Alumni Association

The quality of a school is evidenced through its alumni.  At AIM we are very proud of how well our students have represented us after they graduate and go on to High School, University and then into their professional and family lives. 

 The Public Relations Department supports different efforts for alumni reunions.

AIM Student Life Stages

The Association focuses its activities to support alumni in five different life-stages in the lives of AIM students:

  1. AIM student-life, where foundations are laid
  2. Skill Development and preparation for university life
  3. University studies
  4. Entering the workforce or selecting post-graduate studies
  5. Development as an entrepreneur or obtaining good professional positioning

Strategic Plans

  • Maintain contact with alumni through their integration into an alumni-relationship management system
  • Promote communication among alumni through social media
  • Develop fundraising campaigns to support students and alumni
  • Organize Summer job fairs
  • Coordinate conferences that add value personally and professionally
  • Establish an Ex-AIM business directory
  • Organize Ex-AIM job fairs
  • Provide life-coaching
  • Highlight the educational and professional experiences of alumni


The Ex-AIM Association is led by the Executive Committee and its supporting staff. It is represented by members of the different graduating classes.
