Protection of Information

The AIM maintains strict protection mechanisms in order to guarantee the security, integrity, privacy and confidentiality of the information collected from our families.


All student personal data collected will be used, among other things, for the registration, education and evaluation of the student as well as to provide other services such as transportation, registration to sports tournaments, academic activities and contests, educational trips, cafeteria services, medical and psychological attention, media (including social media), yearbooks, PA (AIM Parent’s Association), Association of American Institute of Monterrey Alumni, etc., as needed.

Personal Data

For the purposes of the present Privacy Notice, personal data will be collected through different means: admission forms, registration process, “My Family Information” on our web page, and through other sources permitted by Mexican law.

The AIM may treat personal information of students, parents or legal guardians, such as: name, date and place of birth, home address, marital status, email, telephone number, photograph, occupation, academic and behavioral backgrounds, psychological, medical and financial information. The paperwork entailed in the admissions process requires much of this information. It may be accessed at the following addresses:

Sensitive Personal Data

In order to comply with the purposes of this privacy notice, AIM will collect and treat sensitive personal data, such as medical, psychological, academic and behavioral history of the student, as required through the admissions process.

Likewise, parental or student legal guardian sensitive personal data, such as medical history, work and personal references, assets and financial statements, etc., will be obtained as required on the Prospect Student Identification Form and in the financial aid application, if submitted.

 The AIM is committed to treat this information under the most strict security measures, guaranteeing its confidentiality.


Cookies are files that are downloaded automatically and stored on the computer when you search for something on the Internet, allowing the server to remember some of the user’s information, such as viewing preferences, account names and passwords.

Access, Rectification, Cancelation and Opposition

You have the right to access your personal data in AIM’s possession as well as details of its treatment. You may rectify any erroneous or inexact information or request the cancelation of any information you may deem to be excessive or unnecessary for the intent under which it was procured. As well you may oppose the treatment of such information for specific purposes. You may also revoke the permission granted to AIM for the treatment of personal data by presenting a formal petition to the AIM Personal Data Department, located at Perseverancia #100, Col. Balcones del Valle, San Pedro Garza García, N.L., C.P. 66280, by presenting a valid identification document, such as a passport, voter’s registration, etc. Your petition must include documents that validate your identity or standing as a legal guardian, as well as a general document that includes your complete name, email account or telephone number where you can be reached. It must also contain a clear and precise description of the corresponding personal data for which you wish to exercise some of the rights aforementioned and any other element that may facilitate the location of the personal data. The maximum period of time allowed for response to your petition will be 20 work days and you will be informed of the outcome of your petition directly to the email account or telephone number submitted with your petition. Transfer of Information

The AIM discloses the names, telephone numbers and email accounts of parents and students with other AIM parents whose children are in the same classroom, generation, sports team, fine arts classes, etc.

The AIM does not share personal sensitive information of other parents, legal guardians or students with any external organization, with the exception of those authorized by our institution in order to offer external standardized testing, transportation and food services, medical, psychological or academic support services, organized educational and athletic activities, school trips, media (including social media), yearbooks, PA (AIM Parent’s Association), Association of American Institute of Monterrey Alumni, etc., as needed.

Parents must express their consent for the AIM to disclose their children’s reports with a new institution when considering their transfer to another school.

The AIM does not disclose any assets or financial information of parents or legal guardians with any external organization.

Changes in Privacy Notice

The AIM reserves the right to modify or update the current privacy notice in response to new legislation or jurisprudence, internal policies or new market requirements for the services, products or practices we offer.
