A Wellness Department for Your Child's Needs

The general goals of the Wellness Department are to strengthen the character of AIM students by developing their values and social and emotional skills, as well as ensuring they adequately care for their physical health. As a result, they become conscientious and capable of making responsible and constructive decisions to promote their own well-being and that of the community.

Our experienced team also serves as a support system for pupils who are dealing with social and/or emotional issues, assisting with difficult personal or academic circumstances.

The Wellness Department is responsible for the following programs: Socio-emotional learning, CASEL-based, Character counts, Second Step, Emotional Intelligence, Service Learning projects, Community service, Lifelong learning community, and the Great Kindness Challenge ambassador school.

Wellness Programs for Social & Emotional Growth

At AIM, the well-being of our students is of the utmost importance to achieve excellent learning outcomes, and we aim to promote a safe and supportive environment for all. As such, we guide students to actively engage in the learning process, embracing academic excellence, core ethical values, appropriate social behaviors, and social responsibility.

Our wellness program has three main sections which include different programs that are implemented from pre-nursery to high school for the benefit of all students:

• Social-emotional learning
• Bullying prevention
• Community Outreach

At AIM, students benefit from a purpose-designed mentoring program that promotes the development of healthy and successful individuals. Learners enjoy a structured, trusting, consistent, and purposeful relationship with their mentor, fostering the success of this initiative in three key areas:

a) Personal Growth and Development
b) Support for Academic Success
c) Education and Career Planning

Designed specifically for students who may be staying on campus after school to wait for a sibling, the Care and Learn program provides a safe place for our students to continue developing their skills in a fun and leisurely manner.

Our English and Spanish as Additional Language programs are offered to international students attending our AIM Valle and Huasteca Campuses. The overarching goal of the program is for students who require additional support to receive specialized teaching assistance so that they can join our regular program of study once the foundations of the English language have been achieved. Once students have completed the EAL course, they may then proceed with the SAL program if necessary.

AIM's Educational Support department assists our students with specific needs, designing individualized programs for those who require additional guidance to realize their unique potential.

On the other hand, gifted students are challenged beyond the curriculum with exclusive activities to expand their academic development.

A Comprehensive Counseling Program for Your Child

Our commitment to our students' holistic education extends to the college guidance stage, ensuring that each child's educational path is supported with the same level of care and attention that defines the AIM experience.

Starting in Grade 10, our High School students prepare for college with the Career Life Education course. Learners will have the opportunity to choose regular, Honors, or AP-level elective courses on various subjects. Our AIM careers counseling faculty brings a wealth of experience to the table, providing invaluable guidance and advice throughout the application process.

One integral aspect of AIM's college guidance program involves assisting our senior learners in identifying and selecting colleges in Mexico and abroad that align with their academic and personal aspirations. Our experienced counselors work closely with each student, helping them navigate the admissions process for their chosen institutions. This includes guiding them when submitting applications and all supporting documents.

A Unique Houses System

The House System stands as a cornerstone of our educational model, fostering a sense of belonging, camaraderie, and personal growth among our students. Our Houses seek to provide an environment that actively promotes socio-emotional development, fellowship, healthy competition, and active participation in school life.

For this purpose, students from grade 6 to grade 12 are divided into four Houses that hold competitions throughout the school year: Tesla, Einstein, Picasso, and Carnegie. Each House represents not only a namesake but also a legacy of brilliance and innovation, mirroring the aspirations we hold for our students.

It is within these Houses that the Student Government body is formed. Their main responsibilities are to make proposals for school improvement and organize school events and competitions for the House Trophy.
